DSCN4681 Studies show that a visit to campus is the best way to determine if a university is the right one for you. That’s why we provide prospective students and their families a variety of options for visiting Florida Tech. We want to make your visit experience the most enjoyable and informative it can be, all the while showcasing Florida Tech’s opportunities, people and stellar atmosphere! Of course, we know you’ll have a great experience, but we also have a few incentives to help make your trip even more beneficial.

Visit Options

Visiting Florida Tech offers a number of ways you and your family can experience all that we have to offer. You can visit our beautiful subtropical campus in the picture-perfect community of Melbourne year-round. There are many options to help create a customized and personalized visit of Florida Tech – one size does not fit all, and we pride ourselves on being able to structure our visit program to meet your needs. If you have any special requests, please feel free to ask!

  • Meet with an admission counselor to discuss the application, admission and enrollment processes. Take a student-led tour of our beautiful 150-acre subtropical campus.

  • View residence halls available to on-campus students.

  • Speak with a professor in your academic area of interest.

  • Tour labs and academic facilities associated with your major of interest.

    • Engineering students can take an Engineering Lab Tour (M-W-F only)

    • Biology students can take a Biology Lab Tour

    • Aviation students can visit the Buehler Center for Aviation Training and Research to see the flight line

  • Meet with a representative from the Army ROTC program.

  • Meet with an athletic coach from one of our 23 intercollegiate athletic programs.

  • Observe a class based on your areas of interest.

  • Eat in one of our award-winning dining facilities.

Local Flavor

While you’re in the area, don’t forget to visit the Kennedy Space Center, Historic Downtown Melbourne and Cocoa Beach – home to the world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. The many attractions of Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Jacksonville are all within a few hours’ drive of Melbourne and make a nice addition to your vacation. Of course, there are also plenty of things to do right here in Melbourne, even on campus. Be sure to check out some of the local happenings!

Visit Grant

As if you needed any more incentives to visit Florida Tech, but in case you did (or perhaps mom & dad would like one!), we offer a Florida Tech visit grant. We’ll award a $1,000 per year (total of $4,000 over 4 years) grant toward tuition costs, applicable to students who have visited campus prior to enrolling. That means you’ll get a $1000 discount just for checking us out when you decide to enroll and attend Florida Tech! We know our beautiful campus, outstanding facilities and amazing students, faculty and staff will make your visit experience wonderful, and a visit grant should just seal the deal!

Please note that certain dates, times, and appointments may not be available based on group size and interests. Please schedule your group visit at least one month prior to your proposed visit to campus. Our Special Events Coordinator will work with you to accommodate your visit.
